YPV Vitamin D3 4000iu Tablets are a Vitamin D food supplement. Vitamin D3 known as 'the sunshine vitamin' helps to maintain the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, the maintenance of bones and teeth, and normal blood calcium levels. It helps keep normal muscle function and the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in cell division.

Vitamin D3 dificiency occurs when the body doesn't get enough vitamin D from sunlight or diet. This can cause loss of bone density, osteoporosis, and broken bones. Your body makes Vitamin D from cholesterol when your body is exposes to sunlight.

Take ONE tablet daily, preferably at mealtime.
Some medication such as cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil and orlistat (weightloss medication) can decrease the absorption of Vitamin D and therefore should be taken at least 2 hours apart or maybe even leave taking your vitamin D until bedtime. Talk to your GP or pharmacist if you are unsure.
Vitamin D taken at normal doses usually has no side effects but if you experience any reaction such as itching, swelling, dizziness or trouble breathing then stop taking and get medical attention straight away.
