Sofradex contains three active ingredients. Two are an antibiotic and the third is a corticosteroid. These eye drops are used to treat infection and inflammation in the eye(s) or ear(s).
Framycetin and Gramicidin are both antibiotics and work to kill germs and infections in the eye or ear.
Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid and works to reduce inflammation in the eye or ear. It also helps with itching and weeping.
Sofradex is a prescription-only medicine and an Emergency Supply can only be issued if you are currently being prescribed this medication by your GP. You will need to fill out a questionnaire, which is then reviewed to make sure Sofradex is a suitable treatment for you. You will also be required to upload proof that you have had this item before. If your order is approved, your Sofradex can be sent directly to you.

If you are taking or using any new medications even over-the-counter medicines whilst using Sofradex you should make your GP aware to prevent interactions.

Recommended starting dose is usually:
ONE or TWO drops into the affected eye(s) up to six times a day.
TWO or THREE drops into the affected ear(s) three to four times a day.
Recommended for seven days use if required any longer it should be under advice from your GP.
