What are Trajenta 5mg Tablets?

Trajenta contains the active ingredient Linagliptin 5mg. This is a treatment for type 2 diabetes used with proper diet and exercise to treat high blood sugar levels.
 

How does Linagliptin work as a treatment for Type 2 Diabetes?

Trajenta contains the active substance linagliptin which belongs to a group of medicines called oral anti-diabetics. Oral anti-diabetics are used to treat high blood sugar levels. Trajenta is used for type 2 diabetes.  Linaglipin works by regulating the levels of insulin your body produces after eating.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose). 

The cause of diabetes varies by type. However, no matter what type of diabetes you have, it can lead to excess sugar in your blood and to much sugar in your blood can lead to serious health problems.

Chronic diabetes: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

Potentially reversible diabetes: Prediabetes and gestational diabetes.

Gestational diabetes: occurs during pregnancy but may resolve after the baby is delivered.

ONE tablet once a day

• Muscle aches

• sore throat

• stuffy or runny nose

Less common

• Diarrhea
