What is Difflam Sore Throat Rinse?

Difflam Sore Throat Rinse is a treatment that works to relieve the effects of an inflamed sore throat.

The active ingredient of this rinse is benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15% w/v, which is known as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

NSAIDs work by reducing the pain and inflammation in the affected area.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not suitable for children 12 years or under.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use if:

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients this rinse contains

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Benzydamine Hydrochloride 0.15% w/v.

Other ingredients: Ethanol, Glycerol, Saccharin Sodium, Mouthwash Flavour, Polysorbate 20, Methylhydroxybenzoate, E104, E131, Purified Water.

How do I use Difflam Sore Throat Rinse?

Dosage:

Gargle or rinse with 15ml every 1-3 hours as needed.

• Do not swallow after rinsing.

• Not suitable for children 12 years or under.

• Do not use it for more than 7 days at a time.

• If the symptoms get worse or do not get better speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

What are the side effects of Difflam Sore Throat Rinse?
 

Possible side effects:

• Itching

• Skin rash 

• Skin redness or swelling

• Difficulty breathing and wheezing

• Stinging, in the mouth or throat 

• Numbness in the mouth or throat
