What is Difflam Throat Spray?

Difflam Spray is a spray that is for those who are suffering from pain, soreness or discomfort in the mouth or throat.

The active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

Difflam Spray can be used to treat:

• Mouth Ulcers

• Teethig

• Sore throat

• Sore tongue or gums

• Discomfort from teeth or dentures

Warnings and Precautions

Do not use if:

You are allergic to any of the ingredients this rinse contains

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:

You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Ingredients

Each metered dose pump spray delivers Benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15% w/v, approximately 175 microlitres per puff.

Other ingredients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate and Ethanol.    

How do I use Difflam Throat Spray?

Dosage:

Spray directly onto the affected area of thge mouth or throat as follows;

Adults 4-8 puffs 1-3 hourly

children 6-12 years  4 puffs 1-3 hourly

Children under 6 years 1 puff for each 4kg of body weight up to maximum of 4 puffs. 1-3hourly.

What are the side effects of Difflam Throat Spray?

Possible side effects:

• Itching

• Skin rash 

• Skin redness or swelling

• Difficulty breathing and wheezing

• Stinging,in the mouth or throat 

• Numbness in the mouth or throat
