What is Covonia Chesty Cough Mixture (Mentholated)?

Covonia Chesty Cough Mixture is an expectorant that helps relieve the irritation and congestion that comes with a chesty cough.

This mentholated cough syrup provides effective relief of troublesome chesty coughs.

• Relieves congestion associated with chesty coughs and bronchitis

Covornia chesty cough mixture is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and coeliacs.

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use this if:

• You are under the age of 5.
• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients this medicine contains
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding. (Always speak with your GP or our pharmacist for advice.)
• You are suffering from any type of heart complaint or problem
• You are an alcoholic
• You have breathing difficulties
• You have a raised level of pressure in the head
• You have liver or kidney problems

Speak to your GP before use if:

• You have an underlying medical problem or are taking any other medicine or complementary therapy

Ingredients

Active ingredients per 5ml: levomenthol 4mg, squill tincture 0.6ml, liquorice liquid extract 0.125ml. 

Other ingredients: sugar and alcohol.

How do I use Covonia Chesty Cough Mixture (Mentholated)?

Dosage:

Adults, the elderly, and children over 12 years: Take One or Two 5ml spoonfuls every 4 hours if required.

Children 5-12 years old: Take One 5ml spoonful every 4 hours if required.

• DO NOT give to children under 5 years old.

What are the side effects of Covonia Chesty Cough Mixture (Mentholated)?

Possible side effects:

• Allergic reactions (skin rashes)
• Sodium and water retention
