What is Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free?

Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free is a cough medicine to help loosen mucus (phlegm). It is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and coeliacs and is free from nuts, alcohol, and sugar.

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine if:

• You are under the age of 12

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding (speak to your GP or our pharmacist for advice)

• You are taking any other cough mixtures

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients this medicine contains

• You suffer from Porphyria, which is a type of blood disorder that causes skin or nervous system problems.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Each 15ml dose of cough syrup contains Guaifenesin 200mg.

Other ingredients: sweeteners sorbitol (E420) approximately 3.1g, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, color ponceau 4R (E124). Anise, blackcurrant, and menthol flavors (E1518, and propylene glycol (E1520).

How do I use Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free?

Dosage:

Measure the syrup using the dosing cup provided.

Adults and children over 12 years: 15ml dose at a time.

The dose should not be repeated more than every 6 hours and no more than 3 doses in 24 hours.

What are the side effects of Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free?

This medicine is usually well tolerated, however like all medicinal products some people may experience side effects.

Possible but rare side effects:

• Stomach ache and discomfort, nausea, vomiting.

• Allergic reactions such as a skin rash.
