Do not use it after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month

The active substances are: chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5mg, lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 1mg

• Suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and coeliacs

• Sugar-free lozenges suitable for diabetics

Always use Covonia Throat Lozenges exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. This medicine must not be used for long periods. Consult a doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after three to four days. 

• Adults: 6 to 10 lozenges per day. Allow the lozenge to melt in the mouth slowly

• In children and adolescents from 12 years old: 3 to 5 lozenges per day

• If you are allergic to chlorhexidine dihydrochloride or lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate, or any of the other ingredients of Covonia Lozenges 

• On children younger than 12 years old

Like all medicines, Covonia Lozenges can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Possible side effects include:

• Allergic reactions of the skin and mucous membranes

• In case of protracted and uninterrupted use, a brown coloring of the teeth can occur. This brown color is easy to remove

• Taste disorders, an irritating feeling on the tongue and severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic reactions) may occur
