Rozex Gel is used as a treatment for rosacea, a common skin condition that causes, flushing, inflammation, bumpy rashes, redness and acne like breakouts to appear on the face. This condition usually effects the forehead, chin, cheeks and nose.
When Rozex Gel is applied to the affected areas, it treats the skin condition by reducing inflammation and redness, flighting the skin infection that worsens or causes skin irritation.
It can take as little as a few weeks of continuous use to see the positive effects of rosacea gel, however, this may vary as each individual is different.
Rozex cannot be bought over the counter and is only available on prescription.
Rozex Gel should be applied to the affected area twice daily, once in the morning and again in the evening.
If Rozex is used for three to four months, it should help clear up your rosacea symptoms.
However, if your rosacea has not fully cleared over this length of time, you should speak to your doctor to see what they recommend.
Due to its potency, it is not recommended that children or anyone under the age of 18 use Rozex Gel.
You can download the full Rozex Gel Patient Information Leaflet here.
The active substance is metronidazole. Each gram of Rozex contains 7.5mg of metronidazole.
