What is Aknemycin Plus 4.0% w/w and 0.025% w/w Cutaneous solution?

Aknemycin Plus is used to treat acne and contains two active ingredients: Erythromycin and Tretinoin.

Erythromycin is an antibiotic that kills the acne-causing bacteria, while also reducing skin discomfort and irritation.

Tretinoin encourages the peeling of the layer of hardened and dead skin cells that form on the skin's surface and helps to clear blackheads. Blackheads block the skin's pores and cause spots to form.

Aknemycin Plus effectively aids in the removal of any excess oil on your skin, preventing future blackheads.

Always follow your doctor's instructions precisely when using this medicine.

The container is equipped with an applicator. This allows for a simple and hygienic application method.

Before each use, press the top of the screw cap onto the foam pad until you hear a click. Then, invert the bottle to wet the applicator pad with the solution. Proceed to wipe the applicator over the affected areas of skin.

When you begin using Aknemycin plus, your acne may initially appear to worsen, this indicates that the medicine is starting to take effect. This should improve over time.

In rare cases, Aknemycin Plus may cause skin irritation, leading to a sore,dry, burning sensation or peeling. In very uncommon instances, these symptoms could be indicative of an allergic reaction. Should this occur, seek medical attention.

Skin may rarely exhibit temporary changes in colour, becoming darker or lighter.

If you notice a serious skin reaction, such as a red scaly rash with bumps under the skin and blisters, contact your doctor immediately.
