What is Oestrogel?

Oestrogel is a topical HRT that only includes 750 micrograms of estradiol, a form of the hormone oestrogen. Oestrogel is a highly effective way to lessen menopausal symptoms, leaving you feeling more comfortable so you can keep on enjoying life. It is delivered as a gel that is applied to the skin. It is recommended for women who do not have an intact uterus.

Before using, properly wash and dry your hands as well as the application areas.

Remove the stopper from the spout and the canister cap. With one hand under the spout, firmly press the plunger down to collect the gel. The gel will be released in one measure. Either the mid-inner thighs of both legs or the outer arms and shoulders of both arms should get the gel application. Replace the cap after covering the spout with the stopper. Before covering, allow the gel to dry for five minutes.

Oestrogel should not be applied to the breasts, face or any irritated areas of the skin. In addition, the sites where the gel is applied should be rotated daily.

As with all medication, the use of Oestrogel may cause some side effects. Though rare, these side effects include:

• Painful, heavy periods
• Irregular bleeding
• White or yellow vaginal discharge or yeast infections
• Mood swings
• Migraines
• Vertigo
• Wind
• Acne
