What are Evorel Conti Patches?

A combination kind of hormone replacement treatment (HRT), Evorel Conti patches are used to treat menopause symptoms. Most HRT regimens require taking daily pills. Evorel Conti, on the other hand, is a patch that is applied to the skin.

Estradiol (3.2 mg) and norethisterone (11.2 mg), two active components in each Evorel Conti patch, mimic the actions of the two female sex hormones oestrogen and progesterone. Evorel Conti patches are appropriate for women who have not undergone a hysterectomy or who have previously experienced menopause yet still have uncomfortable symptoms.

The skin on the buttocks or hips should get one patch, with the placement altering and rotating twice a week.

Patches should be worn nonstop, without interruption.

Applying to the skin on or around the breasts is not advised. Wash and completely dry the skin before applying.

Peel half of the protective lining from the back of the patch after removing it from its bag. Peel off half of the liner, place the patch sticky side down on the appropriate region of hairless, unbroken skin, and press the patch firmly against the skin for 30 seconds.

As with all medication, you may experience some side effects. Though rare, side effects include:

• Itchy or inflamed skin where applied
• Dizziness
• Breast pain
• Mood swings
• Nausea
• Stomach pain
• Headache
• Diarrhoea
• Joint pain
• Breakthrough bleeding
• Weight gain
