What is Hibiwash Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser?

Containing 4% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate, Hibiwash is effective against a wide range of microbes, including several strains of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, fungi, and viruses, and reduces bacterial load more efficiently than povidone-iodine 1 2. Hibiscrub has also been shown to significantly decrease the risk of hospital-associated S aureus infections by up to 60% when used in combination with a nasal antibiotic. 

Hibiwash is not absorbed into the skin but binds to it to form a protective layer that kills bacteria within one minute and continues to do so for up to six hours after application.  Unlike povidone iodine, Hibiwash is not inactivated by bodily fluids.

Hibiwash has been dermatologically tested and is proven to be gentle on the skin, even with frequent use. This is significant because repeated application of Hibiwash has been shown to increase its antimicrobial efficacy.

• Wash your face with undiluted Hibiwash, especially around the nose avoiding the eyes and ears.
• With a clean sponge, working downwards, paying attention to your armpits
• Continue to wash downwards, paying attention to the groin area.

Excipients: poloxamer 237, isopropyl alcohol, cocamidopropylamine oxide, glycerol, macrogol 7 glycerol cocoate, gluconolactone, sodium hydroxide and purified water. 

Avoid contact with eyes, the brain meninges, and the middle ear. If Hibiwash comes into contact with the eyes, wash it out immediately and thoroughly with water. In patients with head or spinal injuries or a perforated eardrum, the benefit of use in pre-operative should be evaluated against the risk of contact.

Use with care in newborn babies, especially those born prematurely. 

Hibiwash may cause chemical skin burns.

Do not inject. Do not use it in body cavities.

Keep out of the site and reach of children. Do not store above 25C. Store in the original packaging.
