What is Deep Relief Joint Pain Gel?

Deep Relief Duo Pain Relief Gel is a triple-action anti-inflammatory gel that gives you fast and effective relief of back pain, rheumatic pain, muscular aches, pains, and swellings, such as strains, sprains, and minor sports injuries. This a clear gel that can be massaged directly onto the area of pain and discomfort. Its non-greasy texture penetrates the skin to reduce inflammation at the point of pain.

What are the active ingredients in Deep Relief Duo Pain Relief Gel and how do they work?

Deep Relief Duo Pain Relief Gel is an anti-inflammatory gel that contains the active ingredients ibuprofen and levomenthol. Ibuprofen is from a group known as Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). It works to relieve pain while reducing swelling and inflammation. Levomenthol provides a cool and soothing sensation, which helps to ease the pain.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not suitable for use on children under the age of 12. 
• For external use only.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to ibuprofen, menthol, aspirin or any other NSAIDs, or any of the other ingredients Deep Relief contains.
• You have broken, infected, or inflamed skin, and should not be used in the same area as other medicines put on the skin.  
• You are more than 6 months pregnant.
• You are breastfeeding.

Speak to your GP before using if:

• You have ever had allergic skin conditions caused by medicines or cosmetics
• You have ever had kidney problems
• You have ever had stomach ulcers
• You are pregnant or think you might be pregnant
• You are having problems with fertility or are having fertility treatment.
• You have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Ibuprofen 5% w/w, Levomenthol 3% w/w

Also contains: Carbomer, propylene glycol, diisopropanolamine, ethanol, purified water

Directions:

For adults, the elderly, and children over 12 years:

Use this medicine only on your skin.

Apply 1-4cm of gel as a thin layer up to 3 times per day.

Do not use it more often than every 4 hours.

If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Always follow the instructions on the enclosed leaflet.

What are the side effects of Deep Relief Anti-Inflammatory Gel?

Stop using Deep Relief Anti-Inflammatory Gel straight away and tell your GP if you experience any of the following effects:

• Unexplained wheezing
• Shortness of breath
• Burns, blisters, rash on the skin
• Itching, bruising, or redness of the skin
• Swelling of the face

A slight redness, drying, tingling, or burning feeling may occur where you have applied the gel. This is not a cause for concern. However, if this gets worse stop using Deep Relief Anti-Inflammatory Gel and tells your doctor.

Unwanted effects may be reduced if you use the smallest dose for as short a time as possible. 

More rarely, you may suffer from: 

• stomach pains or indigestion 
• kidney problems if you have kidney disease
