Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution is a topical treatment formulated for men experiencing hereditary hair loss, particularly thinning at the top of the scalp.

Containing 5% w/v minoxidil, the solution penetrates the scalp to help stop hair thinning, reactivate inactive follicles and support the growth of new, thicker hair.

Minoxidil is the only clinically proven treatment for male pattern hair loss. It promotes hair growth in four ways: reversing follicle miniaturisation, increasing blood flow around the follicles, stimulating follicles from the resting phase into the active growth phase, and extending the hair growth cycle for fuller-looking hair.

During the first 2–6 weeks of use, temporary increased hair shedding may occur. This indicates that new hair growth cycles are beginning. If shedding continues for more than 2 weeks, stop use and consult your doctor.

How to Use

Suitable for men aged 18 to 65 years.
Use twice daily for effectiveness.
Ensure hair and scalp are completely dry before application.
Use the included applicator to dispense a 1ml dose, regardless of the size of the affected area.
Apply to the total affected area of the scalp and massage in lightly.
Wash hands thoroughly after application.
Do not use more than 2ml in 24 hours.

Caution

For men aged 18 to 65 years only.
Do not use if you are a woman.
Do not use if you are under 18 or over 65 years of age.
Do not use if you suffer from high or low blood pressure.
Do not use if you have sudden or patchy hair loss.
Do not use if you have a red, inflamed, irritated, infected or painful scalp.
Do not use if you have a shaven head or are using other medications or dressings on your scalp.
Do not use if you are allergic to minoxidil, ethanol or propylene glycol.
Continuous daily use is required to maintain hair regrowth.
Do not exceed 2ml in 24 hours.
If treatment is stopped, regrown hair may be lost within a few months.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if you have a history of heart disease, heart rhythm problems or chest pains.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include headache, skin irritation, itching or unwanted hair growth if transferred to other areas.
Rare side effects may include heart palpitations, dizziness or faintness.
Stop use and seek medical advice immediately if you experience chest pain, rapid heartbeat, sudden unexplained weight gain, swelling of the hands or feet, or persistent scalp irritation.
If severe side effects occur, stop use and seek medical advice.
