Amorolfine 5% nail lacquer is specially formulated to treat fungal nail infections.
It works by inhibiting the growth of fungi that cause nail discolouration, thickening, and brittleness. The lacquer penetrates the nail and targets a wide range of fungal species, including dermatophytes, yeasts, and moulds. By regularly applying the lacquer as directed, the medication helps to gradually eliminate the infection and promote healthy nail regrowth.
The active ingredient amorolfine penetrates the cell membrane and weakens it.
This causes the main components of the infection to leave the cell. Eventually, the infection dies and the treatment continues to provide further protection from infections.
Amorolfine 5% nail lacquer effectively treats fungal nail infections because it is soup and water-resistant. This protection results in the medication being able to settle in the nail bed without being washed away.
Applying the treatment is simple using the special applicator cap. Loceryl should be applied to the affected area once or twice a week.
The active ingredient in Amorolfine 5% w/v Medicated Nail Lacquer is amorolfine hydrochloride, with each milliliter containing 55.74 mg of amorolfine hydrochloride (equivalent to 50 mg of amorolfine).
The other ingredients are ammonio methacrylate copolymer A, triacetin, butyl acetate, ethyl acetate, and ethanol.
Amorolfine 5% is a topical treatment and must not be ingested.
Make sure the contents of the box are easily accessible; Amorolfine 5% nail lacquer, nail cleaning pad and applicator cap.
For further information read the instructions included in Amorolfine 5% nail lacquer packet.
