A little more about Cosopt Eye Drops (Dorzolamide/Timolol)
Cosopt Eye Drops (Dorzolamide/Timolol): Things you need to know

What are Cosopt Eye Drops?

Cosopt contains the active ingredients Dorzolamide which is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and Timolol which is a beta-blocker. These eye drops are used to decrease pressure in the eyes of patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

How does the active ingredients Dorzolamide and timolol work?

Dorzolamide works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye.

With a reduction in fluid you have a reduction of pressure in the eye.

Timolol is a beta-blocker. Beta-blockers work by blocking beta receptors in the eye which reduces the amount of aqueous humour that is produced.
