What are Difflam 3mg Lozenges?

Difflam is used in adults and children above 6 years of age to provide local relief of pain and irritation. Difflam can be used for Painful mouth or throat conditions such as mouth ulcers, sore throat or gums. Diffilam for sore throat is also available as a Spray or Rinse.

Ingredients:

Each lozenge contains:

• 3 mg benzydamine hydrochloride
• Aspartame (E 951)
• Isomalt (E 953)
• Mint Fragrance and Lemon fragrance
   

How do I use Difflam 3mg Lozenges?

Directions:

Difflam Lozenges are to be slowly dissolved in your mouth up to three times a day. Do not swallow. Do not chew.

Precautions:

• Do not store above 25°C
• Do not use for more than 7 days.
• If your throat condition gets worse, or does not improve after 3 days, appears feverish, or you experience other symptoms, speak to your pharmacist or doctor.
   

Do not take Difflam Lozenges

• If you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
• If you suffer from a condition known as phenylketonuria.
• If you are allergic to salicylic acid or to other anti-inflammatory painkillers called NSAIDs (e.g. ibuprofen).
• If you have a history of Asthma

If you have any severe side effects, stop use immediately and seek medical assistance as soon as possible.

Allergic reactions are rare, but can be serious. Tell your doctor immediately if you get any sudden swelling in the mouth, throat, difficulty breathing, rash or itching, especially if affecting the whole body.
