Enterosgel Gastrointestinal Adsorbent 90g

Enterosgel is easy to take, diluted in water, it has no taste or colour. This is the right package for a course of prophylactic detoxification to treat viral or bacterial diarrhoea.

Enterosgel is based on an organic mineral with adsorption capacity towards toxic and harmful substances in the gut, physically binding them to its surface, reducing stool frequency and duration of diarrhoea.

Enterosgel is expelled from the body with the stool, along with the adsorbed toxins, which can be beneficial for treating acute diarrhoea and diarrhoea predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). Enterosgel does not remove any good bacteria from the gut.

Enterosgel is different from other IBS-D and Acute Diarrhoea treatments. It targets the cause of gastrointestinal symptoms by binding the bacterial toxins and other harmful substances and expelling them from the body via the stool.

Most products designed to treat IBS and diarrhoea are antimotility or antispasmodic medicines. They work by slowing the natural movements of the gut by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. Unlike Enterosgel, these medicines do not clear the body of the bacterial toxins and other substances that can cause IBS and diarrhoea.

For Oral Administration
 

• Take ENTEROSGEL® treatment 2 hours before or after a meal and take oral medications.

• Shake the tube well before opening and each use.

• Dilute the dose in water at room temperature before its administration.

DURATION AND DOSAGE:

For Children
 

• 1–3 years old it is advisable to consult a doctor before use of ENTEROSGEL®.

• 1–6 years old: 5g (approximately 1 teaspoon) diluted in 50–100ml of water 3 times a day.

• 7–14 years old: 10g (approximately 2 teaspoons) diluted in 50–100ml of water 3 times a day.

FOR CHILDREN 15+ AND ADULTS:
 

• 15g to 22.5g (approximately 1 tablespoon) diluted in 200ml of water 3 times a day

Duration of treatment with ENTEROSGEL® is 3–5 days for acute diarrhea and up to 21 days for chronic IBS diarrhoea diagnosed by a doctor.

Contraindications

Do not take ENTEROSGEL®, if you have intestinal atony (severe constipation due to bowel obstruction), intestinal blockage, intolerance based on prior use of ENTEROSGEL®, or if you are currently using modified-release orally administrated medications.

Known side effects: Constipation, nausea.

Precautions

In cases of acute diarrhoea accompanied by fever, especially in children, seek medical advice as soon as possible.
