What are Eucreas 50mg/1000mg Film-Coated Tablets?
Euceas contains the active ingredients Vildagliptin 50mg and Metformin 1000mg. This is a treatment for type 2 diabetes used with proper diet and exercise to treat high blood sugar levels.
How does Vildagliptin and Metformin work as a treatment for Type 2 Diabetes?
Vildagliptin works by making the pancreas produce more insulin and less glucagon.
Metformin works by reducing the absorption of sugar from the stomach, reducing the release of stored sugar from the liver, and helps your body use sugar better. This lowers the amount of glucose in the blood.
What is Diabetes?
Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose).
The cause of diabetes varies by type. However, no matter what type of diabetes you have, it can lead to excess sugar in your blood and to much sugar in your blood can lead to serious health problems.
Chronic diabetes: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
