Zirtek allergy tablets are used to relieve symptoms associated with hay fever and other allergies. These symptoms may include sneezing, a runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and allergy-related skin conditions.
The tablets contain cetirizine dihydrochloride, an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance released during allergic reactions. It is fast-acting and long-lasting, providing relief for up to 24 hours.
Zirtek can help ease symptoms caused by pollen, pet fur, house dust, and insect bites. It can also be used to treat raised, red, itchy skin associated with urticaria, commonly known as hives or nettle rash.
