Beconase Hay Fever Relief Nasal Spray is used for the prevention and treatment of common symptoms of hay fever and airborne allergies. It provides all-day and night relief and works directly in the nose, where allergy symptoms start.

This easy-to-use nasal spray helps relieve symptoms including itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, watery or red eyes, itchy nose, sinus discomfort and nasal congestion.

The active ingredient, beclometasone dipropionate, is a steroid-based anti-inflammatory. It works by reducing irritation and swelling inside the nose, helping to control allergy symptoms.

How To Use

Dosage:
Adults aged 18 years and over:
Use two sprays into each nostril morning and evening.
Maximum of 8 sprays in 24 hours.

If symptoms have not improved after 7 days, seek medical advice.

Not recommended for under 18 years unless prescribed by a doctor.

How to use the spray:

1. Prime the pump before first use or if not used for more than 1 week.
2. Shake well before use.
3. Blow your nose before use.
4. Close one nostril.
5. Tilt your head slightly forward.
6. Insert the spray into the other nostril.
7. While breathing in through the nose, press down once to release the spray.
8. Breathe out through your mouth.
9. Do not blow your nose for 15 minutes after use.
10. Spray up the nose only. Do not spray onto the wall between the nostrils.
11. Wipe the nozzle clean and replace the cap after use.

Active Ingredient: Beclometasone Dipropionate 50 micrograms per spray

Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Dextrose, Polysorbate 80, Purified Water, Benzalkonium Chloride, Phenylethylalcohol

Do not use if:
You are allergic to beclometasone dipropionate or any of the other ingredients

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if:

• You have an infection in your nose
• You have recently had surgery on your nose
• You have tuberculosis (TB)
• It is intended for a child
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are taking or using other medicines

Beclometasone spray is suitable for children over 6 years only if prescribed by a doctor.

Side Effects

• Possible side effects include:
• Headache
• Nasal irritation, stuffiness or dryness
• Sneezing
• Nosebleeds
• Joint or muscle pain
• Nausea
• Lightheadedness
• Unpleasant taste or smell
• Muscle weakness
• Easy bruising
• Menstrual period changes
• Acne
• White patches in the throat, mouth or nose

Some side effects can be serious. Stop using Beconase and seek medical advice immediately if you experience:

• Wheezing
• Hives
• Rash
• Itching
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Swelling of the face, lower legs or ankles
• Vision changes

If severe side effects occur, stop use and seek medical advice.
