Gaviscon Infant Sachets help to prevent gastric regurgitation in infants. It is specifically formulated for infants and works by thickening the stomach contents to help reduce regurgitation.
With its easy mix formulation, Gaviscon Infant can be added to either formula milk or breast milk along with the existing feed so you don't need to change your feeding method.
If your baby has gastric reflux, you may notice the following symptoms:
Being sick
Spitting up more than usual
Bringing up their feeds (posseting)
Becoming distressed
The two active ingredients in these sachets are sodium alginate 225mg and magnesium alginate 87.5mg. These reflux suppressants work together to ease gastric reflux. They do that by forming a protective layer over the contents of your baby's stomach which helps to keep the contents from coming back up, reducing gastric reflux.
This is not suitable for use in children over the age of 2, adults, or the elderly.
