• fungal nappy rash
• fungal sweat rash
• external thrush

What is Canesten Cream 1%?

It contains a broad spectrum anti-fungal agent with activity against the dermatophytes and yeasts that are associated with fungal infections.

What are the key symptoms of fungal infection?

• Red rash
• Blisters​ 
• Itchy skin
• Burning of skin
• Stinging​ of skin
• Flaky skin
• Cracked skin
• Scaly skin​ 
• Splitting of skin 
• Softening of skin
• Whitening skin 
• Unpleasant odour from the affected skin

NOTE: You probably won't have every symptom listed.

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Read the package leaflet before use.
• Do not use it if the expiration date printed on the carton has passed.
• Do not use if you or your baby are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the ingredients
• If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying for a baby tell your doctor or midwife before using Canesten cream
• As with other creams, Canesten cream may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as condoms or diaphragms. So if you are using this cream on the vulva or penis, you should use alternative precautions for at least five days after using this product.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: clotrimazole 1% w/w.

Other ingredients: benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, and purified water.

How do I use Canesten Cream 1%?

Dosage:

Adults and Children:

Apply Canesten Cream thinly 2 or 3 times daily rubbing in gently

Wash your hands before applying.

Apply a thin, even layer of cream to the affected areas and rub it in gently. 

You only need to apply a small amount of the cream.

What are the side effects of Canesten Cream 1%?

After you apply the cream:

• itching
• rash
• blisters
• burning
• discomfort
• swelling
• irritation
• peeling skin
