Clarityn Allergy Tablets provide symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). They are designed to help relieve common allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or burning eyes.

The active ingredient, loratadine 10mg, works by blocking the effect of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction. By stopping histamine from acting, Clarityn helps relieve allergy symptoms.

Clarityn tablets work quickly and provide up to 24 hours of relief without causing drowsiness, helping you get on with your day.

How To Use

Dosage:

Adults and children aged 6 years and over weighing more than 30kg:
Take one tablet once daily.

Children who weigh 30kg or less:
Not recommended.

Children under 2 years:
Not recommended

Ingredients

Active Ingredient: Loratadine

Other Ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, Maize starch, Magnesium stearate

Caution

Keep out of the sight and reach of children
Read the package leaflet before use

Do not take if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if:
You have liver disease
You are scheduled to have skin tests for allergies, as Clarityn should not be taken for two days before testing

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Sleepiness, tiredness or drowsiness
• Fatigue
• Nervousness
• Stomach pain or diarrhoea
• Dry mouth
• Sore throat or hoarseness
• Eye redness or blurred vision
• Nosebleeds
• Skin rash

Seek medical advice if you experience serious side effects such as fast or uneven heart rate, feeling faint, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), or seizures.

If severe side effects occur, stop use and seek medical advice.
