What is Simple Linctus Paediatric?

Simple Linctus Paediatric is an effective remedy to soothe and relieve your child's dry and/or irritating coughs.

This is for symptomatic relief of coughs.
 

What is the active ingredient in Simple Linctus Paediatric and how does it work?

The active ingredient in simple linctus is citric acid monohydrate. Citric acid works by coating the throat, relieving the effects of cough and soothing the throat. Citric acid is found naturally in the body and is often used as a pH-control agent in certain types of food.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not give Simple Linctus Paediatric to your child if:

They are allergic to any of the ingredients this product contains.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before giving this product to your child if:

• They have an intolerance to some sugars
• They are on any other medication

Ingredients

The active ingredient is Citric Acid Monohydrate 31.25 mg/5 ml equivalent to 28.57 mg/5 ml Anhydrous Citric Acid.

Other ingredients: glycerol (E422), sucrose and sodium benzoate (E211)

Sucrose 4.4g per 5ml

Sodium Benzoate 2.5mg per 5ml

How to take Simple Linctus Paediatric:

Children 1-5 years: Give 1 x 5ml spoonful.

Children 6-12 years: Give 2 x 5ml spoonfuls.

Repeat the dose up to four times a day if necessary.

If symptoms persist for more than 5 days consult a doctor.
