What is Paraffin-Free Epimax Ointment?

EPIMAX Paraffin-Free Ointment is a highly moisturising emollient designed to relieve and protect very dry skin associated with eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions. Unlike traditional ointments that contain liquid and white soft paraffin, this formula uses hydrogenated castor oil as its main ingredient, providing intensive relief while remaining completely paraffin-free.

Suitable for adults and children, it can be used throughout the day or overnight as a soap substitute or as a bath additive. Its formula helps lock moisture into the skin, providing long-lasting relief from dryness and irritation.

If you have previously found paraffin-based ointments unsuitable, or prefer a paraffin-free alternative, EPIMAX Paraffin-Free Ointment offers the same intensive emollient care without containing liquid paraffin or white soft paraffin.

Ingredients:

Polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil 38% w/w, macrogol cetostearyl ether, medium chain triglycerides, polyoxypropylene stearyl ether, cetostearyl alcohol, hydrogenated castor oil, D&C Yellow/Red

How do I use Epimax Ointment?

Apply to skin as frequently as required, smoothing gently into the affected areas in the direction of hair growth. Do not use on the face. Wash hands after use.

To use as a body wash, use as required in the bath or shower.
 

To use as a bath additive, melt about 4g (the size of a £2 coin) in hot water and add to the bath. Care should be taken as this can make the bath slippery.

If you have any severe side effects, stop use immediately and seek medical assistance as soon as possible.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. In the event of accidental contact, rinse well with water and seek medical advice. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Seek medical advice before use if the skin is broken, infected, or bleeding, or after use if any undesirable effects are experienced, if accidentally swallowed, or if the product comes into contact with the eyes.

Fire hazard. Do not smoke or go near naked flames; clothing & bedding with this product dried on them can catch fire easily.
