MooGoo Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50 120g: Things you need to know

What is MooGoo Clear Zinc Sunscreen?

MooGoo Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50 is a broad-spectrum natural sunscreen. It is designed to provide sun protection while being gentle on sensitive and eczema-prone skin. Formulated with 25% Zinc Oxide and free from chemical UV filters, parabens and phenoxyethanol, it helps protect the skin without leaving a greasy feel.

Its moisturising formula uses Aloe Vera and Glycerin to draw moisture into the skin, while Lecithin helps lock in moisture and support the skin’s natural protective barrier, helping defend against dryness caused by heat and wind. Dermatologically tested for sensitive skin, the sunscreen rubs in clear after application for a smooth finish.

Zinc Oxide Sunscreen acts like a reflective shield, bouncing UV rays away. Perfect for anyone who reacts to chemical UV filters, prefers a Zinc-only sunscreen or simply wants to know exactly what’s on their skin. Moogoo Sunscreen uses Zinc Oxide with a median particle size of 0.31 microns, and is considered safe for both humans and the reef, so the suncream won’t be ingested by marine life or harm coral.

How do I use MooGoo Zinc Sunscreen?

Apply generously to exposed skin 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply as required, especially after swimming, towelling, or exercise. The Moogoo SPF 50 broad-spectrum, high protection sunscreen has a moisturising base and is designed for frequent use.

For Zinc-based sunscreen, at first it will rub on white. Allow 30 seconds for it to warm up to body temperature and then rub it in. It will then become clear. Avoid contact with eyes. Also wear protective clothing, hats and avoid prolonged sun exposure. To keep skin soft and smooth, moisturise after sun exposure.

Store below 30°C

How Long Does Sunscreen Last?

The NHS recommends reapplying sunscreen at least every 2 hours, as the sun can dry it off your skin. This should be done sooner if swimming, towelling or exercising.

Sunscreen generally lasts 6 to 12 months after opening, but this can vary. Check the information on the packaging and leaflet, as well as the expiry date.

Before full application, conduct a patch test to check for potential allergies. If you have any severe side effects, stop use immediately and seek medical assistance as soon as possible.

Reporting of side effects

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the above description and patient information leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard or search for “MHRA yellowcard” in the Google Play or Apple App Store. By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
