AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack contains 4 tubes of emollient moisturisers of varying hydration, consistency, and ingredients.

• Emollients containing paraffin can be easily ignited with a naked flame. If the product comes into contact with dressings and clothes they can be more easily ignited with a naked flame. Remind patients that they should keep away from fire when using these types of emollients.

• Should not be applied to infected areas of skin.

• Avoid contact with the eyes.

AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream:

Active Ingredient: Avena Sativa Kernel Flour 1%

Other Ingredients: Purified Water, Olive Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Glycerin, Sucrose Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Vitamin F Ethyl Ester, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Vitamin E

AproDerm Emollient Cream:

Active Ingredients: White Soft Paraffin 15%, Liquid Paraffin 6%.

Other Ingredients: Ceteareth-20, Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydrogen Phosphate, Phosphoric Acid / Sodium Hydroxide, Euxyl PE 9010, Purified Water.

AproDerm Gel:

Active Ingredients: Liquid Paraffin (15%) and Isopropyl Myristate (15%).

Other Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate-20, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin.

AproDerm Ointment:

Active Ingredients: White Soft Paraffin 95%, Liquid Paraffin 5%

How do I apply the products in the AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack?

Directions:

AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream:

Adults and children: Apply the cream liberally to the affected area and smooth gently onto the skin following the direction of the hair growth.

Do not rub in the cream as this can irritate the skin.

AproDerm Emollient Cream:

Apply the cream liberally to the affected area and smooth gently onto the skin.

AproDerm Gel:

Apply AproDerm Gel regularly, liberally, and frequently to the affected area, smoothing onto the skin using gentle strokes and following the direction of hair growth.

Do not rub the gel in as this generates heat and can cause further irritation and itching. It can also block the hair follicles, which can cause folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles).

Leave a thin layer of gel on the skin and simply allow it to be absorbed by your skin – this can take about 10 minutes.

AproDerm Ointment:

Can be used at any time of the day, however, if you find the greasy formulation less cosmetically acceptable during the day it can be applied at night time and complemented with Aproderm emollient cream or gel during the day.

What are the side effects of the products in the AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack?

AproDerm Emollient Cream contains cetostearyl alcohol, Cetearth-20, and Eixyl PE 9010 which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. Contact dermatitis), and allergic reactions, which may no appear immediately.

Rarely, mild allergic reactions such as a skin rash may occur.
