Olbas Oil is an inhalant decongestant oil used to help relieve catarrh, colds and blocked sinuses. It is made from a blend of essential pure plant oils that provide relief from bronchial and nasal congestion and hay fever when inhaled.

When applied to unbroken skin, Olbas Oil can also help relieve muscular aches and pains without leaving a greasy residue. It may be used to help ease discomfort associated with backache, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis and rheumatic pain.

Olbas Oil is suitable for inhalation use in adults and children, with age-specific instructions, and for external use on unbroken skin in adults and children aged 12 years and over.

How To Use

For inhalation or external use on unbroken skin only.

Inhalation:

Children aged 3 months to 2 years:
Add one drop to a tissue and hold close to, but not touching, the nose to allow vapours to be inhaled.

Children aged 2 years and over:
Add two to three drops to a tissue and hold close to, but not touching, the nose to inhale vapours.

Adults and children aged 2 years and over:
Add two to three drops to a tissue and inhale vapours. Can also be used at night or added to hot water.

Avoid direct contact with a child’s skin.
Not recommended for babies under 3 months old.

Using with hot water:

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Day: Add two to three drops to hot water and inhale vapours.
Night: Add two to three drops to hot water and leave in the bedroom to inhale throughout the night.

Children aged 2 years and over:
Day: Add two to three drops to hot water and allow vapours to be inhaled, or leave in the room out of reach.
Night: Add two to three drops to hot water and leave in the room out of reach overnight.

Children under 2 years:
Not recommended.

As a rub for muscular pain:

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Apply to the painful area with gentle massage up to three times daily.

Children under 12 years:
Not recommended.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients:
Cajuput Oil 18.5%, Clove Oil 0.1%, Eucalyptus Oil 35.45%, Juniperberry Oil 2.7%, Levomenthol 4.1%, Methyl Salicylate 3.7%, Mint Oil Partly Dementholised 35.45%

Caution

Do not put drops into the nose or mouth
Avoid direct contact with a child’s skin
Not recommended for babies under 3 months old
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You take blood-thinning medicines such as warfarin (if using on the skin)

Keep out of the sight and reach of children
Do not store above 25°C
Do not use if the cap seal is broken

Side Effects

Olbas Oil should not cause side effects when used as directed.
