What is Benylin Children's Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup?

Benylin Children’s Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup is a medicine that is designed to treat dry coughs and sore throats. It works by soothing the throat which will reduce the sensations that cause coughing. The syrup will also protect the throat from irritants such as dust or smoke that may cause a cough.

This cough medicine is suitable to be used by children aged 1 and over who are suffering from the effects of a dry cough. 

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

• Read the package leaflet before use.

Do not use if:

• Your child is aged under 1 year old.

• Your child has had any allergies to the ingredients this medication contains

• Your child is taking any other cough and cold medicine

• Your child experiences Allergic reactions including (severe) skin rashes and itching or sickness and nausea, stop using the medicine and seek immediate help.

Consult the child's GP or Pharmacist before using if:

• Your child has an intolerance to sugars.

• You are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Active Ingredients: Glycerol, Sucrose

How do I give Benylin Children's Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup?

Dosage:

Children aged between 1-5 years:

ONE 5ml spoonful 3-4 times a day.

Children aged 5 and over and Adults:

TWO 5ml spoonfuls 3-4 times a day.

If symptoms do not improve after using, speak to a doctor.

What are the side effects of Benylin Children's Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup?

A side effect of using this medicine is unlikely, except for an allergic reaction.
