Loratadine is an antihistamine used to help relieve symptoms caused by allergic reactions. It works by reducing the effects of histamine, a substance produced in the body during an allergic response.
The tablets are used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and a runny nose associated with hay fever and other allergies.
A single daily dose of Loratadine 10mg can provide relief from skin allergies, hay fever, pet allergies, and dust allergies.
Loratadine tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over who weigh more than 30kg.

Children who weigh 30kg or less: Not recommended.
Children under 2 years: Not recommended.
Active ingredient: Loratadine 10mg.
Other ingredients: Lactose, maize starch, pregelatinised starch, magnesium stearate
Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not take if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients this medicine contains.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before use if you are scheduled to have skin tests for allergies. Do not take loratadine tablets for two days before having these tests, as it may affect the results.

Common side effects include headache, sleepiness, feeling tired or drowsy, fatigue, nervousness, stomach pain, diarrhoea, dry mouth, sore throat, hoarseness, eye redness, blurred vision, nosebleeds, and skin rash.
If severe side effects occur, stop use and seek medical advice.
