What is Lamisil Once?

Lamisil Once offers targeted relief from Athlete's foot. A convenient single-use treatment, Lamisil Once contains Terbinafine, which kills the athlete’s foot pathogen and prevents the fungi from coming back.

The easy-to-use solution is designed for effective fungal treatment while helping reduce the chance of recurrence for up to 3 months, requiring just one application to help treat the infection.

Lamisil ONCE is a clear to slightly cloudy gel-like solution. It is available in tubes of 4g.

What happens if you use Lamisil Once twice?

Lamisil Once is formulated and designed to be effective after a single application. Do not use it twice.  Why is a one-time application sufficient? Immediately after application, Lamisil Once forms a film which releases the active ingredient terbinafine into the underlying skin layers for up to 72 hours.

How do you know that you have Athlete’s Foot? (tinea pedis)

One of the main symptoms of athlete's foot is itchy white patches between your toes. It can also cause sore and flaky patches on your feet. The skin can look red, but this may be less noticeable on brown or black skin. Athlete's foot can also affect the soles or sides of your feet. It sometimes causes fluid-filled blisters. If it's not treated, the infection can spread to your toenails and cause a fungal nail infection. Read more on the NHS Site. If you are not sure whether your symptoms are really due to tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Lamisil ONCE.

Ingredients in Lamisil Once:

The active substance is terbinafine (as hydrochloride). Each gram of cutaneous solution contains 10 mg of terbinafine (as hydrochloride). The other ingredients are acrylates/octyl-acrylamide copolymer, hydroxypropylcellulose, medium chain triglycerides and ethanol.

This is a single application treatment.

1. Wash both feet and dry them.
2. Apply to both feet.
3. Spread evenly onto the skin between, under, and over all toes. Then apply over the sole and sides of your foot. Do not rub or massage it in.
4. Leave it to dry to a film for 1 to 2 minutes, before wearing your normal footwear.
5. Wash your hands with warm, soapy water after the application.

Treat the other foot in the same way, even if the skin looks healthy.

Post Treatment

After the first 24 hours, keep the affected area clean by washing it regularly. Dry it carefully without rubbing. Although the skin may be itchy, do not scratch it; this can cause more damage and slow the healing process or further spread the infection. Use your own towel and clothes, don’t share them with other people because athlete’s foot can be passed on easily. Wash your clothes and towels frequently to protect yourself from re-infection.

• Do not wash or splash your feet for 24 hours after applying Lamisil ONCE.
• Do not keep or give any remaining product to other people.
• Do not apply other medicines or treatments to your feet
• Do not use Lamisil ONCE while breast-feeding, as terbinafine is excreted in breast milk.
   

Possible Side Effects of Lamisil Once:

Like all medicines, Lamisil ONCE can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you have any severe side effects, stop use immediately and seek medical assistance as soon as possible.

STOP using Lamisil ONCE and seek medical help immediately if you have any of the following very rare allergic reactions.

• Difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue or throat (severe allergic reaction) 
• Severe itching of the skin, with a red rash or raised lumps, hives or blisters.

Uncommon

• Skin dryness / Irritation 
• Burning sensation

Very Rare

• Rash, Itching, blistering or hives on the skin
