Evorel SEQUI Patches

What are Evorel Sequi Patches?

Evorel Sequi is a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that is used to treat menopausal symptoms. Because it comes in two different patch varieties, Evorel Sequi is referred to as a sequential hormone replacement therapy.

Four Evorel 50 patches, which only contain the oestrogen estradiol, are included in each box.

Four Evorel Conti patches are also included in the box, which in addition to estradiol also contain norethisterone, a synthetic progesterone.

The hormones are gradually released into the blood that mimics the menstrual cycle which reduces uncomfortable menopausal symptoms.

Four Evorel 50 patches and four Evorel Conti patches are included in Evorel Sequi.

For the first two weeks of each four-week cycle, Evorel 50 should be applied twice weekly, followed by Evorel Conti also changed twice a week.

Put the first Evorel Conti patch in its place as soon as you take off your fourth Evorel 50 patch. There shouldn't be a space between packets.

• Every week, change your patch on the same two days.
• As a result, the first patch will be in place for three days and the second for four.
• Pick a clean, dry region of skin to apply the patch to.
• To ensure that the patch is in place, apply pressure firmly.
• Do not apply the fresh patch to the same area of skin.

Evorel shouldn't be applied to or near the breasts, broken skin, or areas where clothing has elasticized portions.

As with all medication, the use of Evorel Sequi may cause side effects. Though rare, side effects include:

• Itchy or inflamed skin where patch is applied
• Mood swings
• Anxiety
• Nausea
• Headache
• Stomach pain
• Diarrhoea
• Muscle, breast, joint pain
• Weight gain
• Breakthrough bleeding
• Painful periods
