Allevia 120mg Tablets are used to relieve hay fever symptoms, including sneezing, an itchy, runny or blocked nose, and red, watery eyes. They are suitable for everyday use during periods of allergen exposure.

Hay fever is caused by an allergy to pollen, with common types including tree, grass, and plant pollen. Pollen particles can be present in the air throughout the year, but symptoms are typically worse during warm, humid, and windy conditions, particularly between spring and summer.

Allevia contains the active ingredient fexofenadine, a non-drowsy antihistamine. When you come into contact with something you are allergic to, your body releases histamine, which triggers allergy symptoms. Fexofenadine works by blocking the effects of histamine, helping to reduce these symptoms and provide relief.

How to Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Take one tablet once daily with water before a meal.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

Caution

Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Do not use if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the other ingredients.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.

You have or have had heart disease, as this type of medicine may cause a fast or irregular heartbeat.
You are elderly.

Store below 25°C.

Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 120mg per tablet.

Other ingredients:
Red iron oxide (E172), macrogol 400.

Side Effects

This medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea.
If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
