Alphagan 0.2% Eye Drops (Brimonidine): Things you need to know

What are Alphagan 0.2% Eye Drops?

Alphagan contains the active ingredient Brimonidine which belongs to a class of medications called alpha-adrenergic agonists. These eye drops are used to decrease pressure in the eyes of patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

How does the active ingredient Brimonidine work?

Brimonidine works by reducing the amount of fluid that you make in the front part of your eye (called aqueous humour) and by increasing the drainage of fluid from your eye. As a result pressure is lowered within your eye.
