What are Travoprost Eye Drops?

Travoprost contains the active ingredient Travoprost which is a prostaglandin. These eye drops are used to decrease pressure in the eyes of patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. 

How does the active ingredient Travoprost work?
 

Travoprost  works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye to maintain a normal pressure. 

Emergency supplys of Travatan:
 

Travatan is a prescription only medicine and an Emergency Supply can only be issued if you are currently being prescribed this medication by your GP.  You will need to fill out a questionnaire, which is then reviewed to make sure Travatan is a suitable treatment for you. You will also need to upload proof that you have used this item before. If your order is approved, your Travatan can be sent directly to you.

Warnings and Precautions

Always take this medication exactly as directed by your GP.

Keep out of sight and Reach of children.

If you are taking or using any new medications even over the counter medicines whilst using Travatan you should make your GP aware to prevent interactions.

How do I use Travatan Eye Drops?

Travatan must be used exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure contact your GP.

Recommended starting dose is usually:

ONE drop in the affected eye or eyes once a day

What are the side effects of Travatan Eye Drops?
 

• Blurred vision
• Eye redness/discomfort/itching
• Feeling as if something is in your eye
• Dry eyes
• Tearing
• Eyelid crusting
• Increase in eyelash number/length/thickness
• Darkening of the eyelashes and eyelids
• Eyelid changes
• Increased sensitivity to light may occur

If you have any severe side effects seek medical assitance as soon as possible.
