A little more about Adipine XL Tablets (Nifedipine)
Adipine XL Tablets (Nifedipine): Things you need to know

Adipine XL (PR) Tablets come in two strengths: 30mg and 60mg.

What are Adipine XL (PR) Tablets?

Adipine XL tablets belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers. This medication may be used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

How does Nifedipine work as a treatment for High Blood Pressure?

Nifedipine works by affecting the movement of calcium into the cells of the heart and blood vessels. It relaxes and widens the blood vessels and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart which improve blood pressure and the hearts workload.

What is High Blood Pressure?

High blood pressure is added workload to the heart and arteries. If this added  pressure continues for a long period of time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. High blood pressure may also increase the risk of heart attacks. With controlled treatment of high blood pressure these problems may be less likely to occur.

Emergency supplys of Nifedipine:

Nifedipine is a prescription only medicine and an Emergency Supply can only be issued if you are currently being prescribed this medication by your GP for high blood pressure.  You will need to fill out a questionnaire, which is then reviewed to make sure Nifedipine is a suitable treatment for you. You will also need to upload proof that you have used this item before. If your order is approved, your Nifedipine can be sent directly to you.
