A little more about Braltus Inhaler 10mcg
Braltus Inhaler 10mcg: Things you need to know

What is the Braltus Inhaler?

The Braltus inhaler is used by patients who have COPD and contains the active ingredient tiotropium. It works by relaxing the air passages to deliver oxygen to the lungs. When used regularly, it can help improve symptoms such as shortness of breath and prevent sudden short-term bouts of COPD symptoms decline.

What is COPD? (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

COPD or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a long-term condition where air sacs in the lungs and airways slowly become blocked, which can cause difficulty breathing. Air flow becomes restricted as the muscles of the airway tighten and become narrower.

Use as directed by your Doctor.

You only need to use Braltus once per day as the effects last for 24 hours.

Braltus should not be used to treat sudden breathing problems or flare ups. Instead it is meant to be used consistently over time to control COPD symptoms. If you're having sudden breathing problems, you should use a rescue inhaler to treat your symptoms.

Like all medicines, this medicine may cause some side effects, but not everyone will experience them.

A Common side effect of the Braltus inhaler is a dry mouth.

In common with all inhaled medications, some patients may experience unexpected tightness of the chest, coughing, wheezing or breathlessness immediately after inhalation.

If any of these side effects occur, please contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
