What is AeroChamber Plus Flow-Vu?

The Aerochamber is ideal for patients who have trouble using Metered Dose Inhalers. The chamber comes with a Flow-Vu dedicated inhalation indicator that moves as you breathe, assuring correct use and medication delivery. It features a mouthpiece at one end of the tube, a soft seal at the other to hold the metered-dose inhaler, and a valve that controls the release of the medication.

The Aerochamber Plus Flow-Vu Chamber can be used with all commonly prescribed metered dose inhalers (puffers).

Do I need an Inhaler Spacer?

The majority of Adults do not use thierit inhales properly, according to a study by the Global Initiative for Asthma. Chambers makes it easier to inhale your medication and helps ensure that the puffer delivers it effectively to your lungs, where it’s needed most.

An Adult Aerochamber with a Mask can be purchased instead for those who have difficulty with a mouthpiece or prefer the security a mask provides.

How to use Aerochamber Plus?

1. Remove caps from the inhaler and mouthpiece chamber. Shake the inhaler immediately before use as per the instructions supplied with it.
2. Insert the inhaler into the backpiece of the chamber. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it to ensure a secure seal.
3. Exhale, then press the inhaler once at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Inhale slowly and deeply through the chamber until a full breath has been taken. Hold your breath for 5-10 seconds before exhaling. OR Exhale and press the inhaler once at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Breathe in and out through the chamber for 2-3 breaths, keeping lips sealed around the chamber mouthpiece.

How to clean the Aerochamber Plus? 

1. Remove the backpiece, then to detach the front piece, twist the chamber.
2. Soak the parts for 15 minutes in a mild solution of liquid dish detergent and lukewarm clean water. Agitate gently. Rinse parts in clean water. This can be done in a dishwasher. Ensure the product is securely placed face up. Run the dishwasher on a normal or light cycle. Do not heat dry.
3. Shake out excess water and allow to air dry in a vertical position. Ensure parts are dry before reassembly.
4. Reassemble the unit.
