Aerochamber Plus Flow-Vu Youth

The Aerochamber is ideal for patients aged 5 years and older who have trouble using Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs), where the medication that the MDIs dispense may end up on the back of the throat or on the roof of the mouth. 

The Aerochamber is ideal for those with asthma or respiratory conditions.

The AEROCHAMBER PLUS FLOW-VU Chamber can be used with all commonly prescribed metered dose inhalers (puffers).

The AeroChamber Plus attaches to the inhaler, this gets the treatment straight to the airways in the lungs and increases the effectiveness of the medication.

It also helps to reduce the side effects of the inhaler as it prevents the medication from hitting the back of the throat.

With a mouthpiece on one end of the plastic tube, a soft seal at the opposite end to hold the metered-dose inhaler, and a valve to control the dispensed treatment.

How does the Aerochamber Plus Flow-Vu Youth work?

The chamber comes with a Flow-Vu dedicated inhalation indicator that moves as you breathe, assuring correct use and medication delivery. The FLOW-VU Indicator is especially useful for parents who are giving the inhaler medicine to their children. The indicator provides a visual cue of inhalation and correct use for medication delivery.

How do I use the Aerochamber Plus Flow-Vu Youth?

1. Shake the inhaler and remove the inhaler and spacer caps.
2. Insert the inhaler into the backpiece of the chamber. Put the mouthpiece into mouth and close your lips around it to ensure an effective seal.
3. Exhale, then press the inhaler once at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Inhale slowly and deeply through the chamber until a full breath has been taken. Hold your breath for 5-10 seconds before exhaling OR exhale and press the inhaler once at the beginning of a slow inhalation. Breathe in and out through the chamber for 2-3 breaths, keeping lips sealed around the chamber mouthpiece.

How do I clean my Aerochamber?

Once a week, soak your spacer in warm soapy water for 15 minutes and allow to air-dry.

How often should the chamber be replaced?

The chamber should be replaced every 12 months for optimum medication delivery
