With the active ingredient Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Corsodyl Mouthwash is an antibacterial agent which reduces the formation of dental plaque and is used to:
Help prevent and treat gum disease
Promote healing after dental surgery or treatment
Maintain oral hygiene
Control mouth ulcers
Manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth.
Gum disease is a common dental condition which happens when plaque builds up on your teeth. When you are suffering from gum disease you may notice that your gums bleed when you brush your teeth and that you have bad breath. If you don’t treat your gingivitis, you may find that it becomes worse and could eventually lead to your teeth falling out
For rinsing the mouth only, do not swallow, avoid contact with eyes and ears.
Do not use immediately after brushing your teeth, tubes of toothpaste can stop Corsodyl Mouthwash from working
If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
You experience any irritation or discomfort while using this product
Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% w/v
Other Ingredients: Glycerol, Macrogolglycerol Hydroxystearate, Sorbitol Liquid 70%, Aniseed Flavour and Purified Water.
Fill the cap to the 10ml line. Rinse mouth thoroughly for 1 minute.
Do not use if:
You are under the age of 12
You are allergic to any of the ingredients this mouthwash contains
DO NOT swallow.
DO NOT use more than the label tells you.
Possible common side effects:
sensitive, irritated gums
Irritation of the mouth, soreness or swelling of the inside of the cheeks. This should go away when treatment is stopped
Temporary staining of the tongue
Temporary staining of the teeth, this can usually be removed by brushing
Change of taste or burning sensation which usually goes away with continued use
Peeling of the skin inside the mouth
These side effects dont usually last last long. However if it is persistant and continues to be troublesome speak to your GP or our pharmacist for advise.
If you have a severe allegic reaction to this mouthwash stop use immediately and seek medical attention. Signs of a severe allergic reaction are:
swelling of the lips
tongue, throat, or face
