What is Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit?

Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit is used to treat your painful or uncomfortable corn.  This product contains medicated disks containing the active ingredient Salicylic Acid 40%w/w which softens the tough skin of the corn, making them easier to remove. The disc system helps protect surrounding healthy skin.

What are corns and what causes them?

Corns are discs of hard skin that most commonly form on your feet. They can also appear on other parts of the body.

Corns form on your body when the skin comes under regular pressure or friction, an example of this is when your toes rub against the sides of your shoes on a regular basis which can be painful or uncomfortable.

Are Corns something to worry about?

Corns are harmless and treatment is usually opted for due to the discomfort the corns cause. 

Warnings and Precautions

• Not suitable for children under the age of 16

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should not use this product unless advised to do so by your GP.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients this product contains or aspirin

• Your skin is broken, inflamed, or infected 

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:

• You are diabetic or suffer from circulatory problems

Ingredients

Active ingredient:

Salicylic Acid

Discs contain:

Salicylic Acid 40% w/w, Polyvinyl Alkyl Ethers, Titanium Dioxide, Liquid Paraffin. 4,4' - Thio-Bis-2-Tert-Butyl-5-Methylphenol, Red Iron Oxide, Black Iron Oxide

Foam Cushions contain:

Natural Rubber Latex

How do I use Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit?

Directions:

Thoroughly wash and dry your feet before use.

Step 1 Medicated corn removal medicated disk:  

Remove the backing paper and carefully place the medicated disk over the corn, avoiding the healthy skin which surrounds it.

Step 2 Pad: 

Cover the medicated disc with a pad.

Repeat this treatment every day until the corn can be removed.

Step 3 Corn cushions:

Once the corn has gone use the corn cushions by placing them firmly over the area where the center of the corn would have been. This will protect the area.

What are the side effects of the Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit?

Misplaced irritation may occur (discontinue use till irritations are cleared and carefully reapply)

Precautions

Skin damage will occur if the healthy skin comes in contact with salicylic acid. 

For external use only, shouldn't be swallowed and shouldn't be used in the vicinity of the eyes nor in deep wounds with narrow openings.

For single use only.

Dispose carefully in a manner that prevents cross-contamination.

Keep out of reach of children.

Contraindications

Do not use it if you are diabetic hypersensitive to salicylic acid or suffer from poor blood circulation.

Do not apply if the area around the corn is inflamed or the skin is broken.

Pregnant women and children: only use with doctor's approval.

If you have any severe side effects stop use immediately and seek medical assistance as soon as possible.
