Carbocisteine Capsules 375mg: Things you need to know

Carbocisteine, is a mucolytic that reduces the viscosity of mucus and can be used to help relieve the symptoms of COPD and bronchiectasis by allowing the sufferer to bring up sputum more easily

Take as directed by your GP or Prescriber which is usually:

- Two 375mg capsules, taken 3 times a day.

When your symptoms improve, your doctor may recommend one 375mg capsule, taken 4 times a day.

Stop taking Carbocisteine 375mg Capsules and see your doctor or go to the nearest hospital casualty department IMMEDIATELY if you have an allergic reaction. Signs may include;

wheezing,
difficulty breathing or swallowing,
dizziness;
swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, tongue or throat;
itchy skin rash affecting the whole body
