What are Rennie Peppermint 24 tablets?

Rennie peppermint tablets offer relief from indigestion, heartburn, nervous indigestion, hyperacidity, flatulence, gastritis, upset stomach, dyspepsia, biliousness, over-indulgence in food and drink, and indigestion during pregnancy.

What are the active ingredients in Rennie Peppermint Tablets and how will they help relieve my symptoms?

The active ingredients in Rennie Peppermint tablets are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, which work together to relieve the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. They do this by neutralising excess stomach acid and turning it into water. 

NOTE:

Safe for use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, so long as you take the medication as directed.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not suitable for anyone under 12 years of age
• It is best to take Rennie Peppermint tablets 1-2 hours after any other medicines to maximise the benefit of all medicines being used.
• These tablets contain glucose and sucrose so if you are allergic to any sugars you should speak to your GP before using these tablets.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients these tablets contain 
• You have severe kidney disease
• You have high calcium in the urine or kidney stones
• You have high calcium or phosphate levels in the blood

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if you take:

• Tetracyclines and quinolones 
• Levothyroxine 
• Eltrombopag
• Digoxin
• Thiazide diuretics
• Fluorides 
• Phosphates 
• Iron supplements

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Calcium Carbonate 680mg and Heavy Magnesium Carbonate 80mg.

Other ingredients: Sucrose (250mg) and Glucose (250mg)

How do I take Rennie Peppermint tablets?

Dosage:

Over 12 years:  TWO tablets sucked or chewed as required.

Maximum 10 tablets a day.

Under 12 years: not recommended.

What are the side effects of Rennie Peppermint?

Possible side effects:

• Constipation
• Stomach bloating
• Flatulence
• Belching
