Dymista Control Nasal Spray is a combination product used for the relief of moderate to severe hay fever symptoms. It contains an antihistamine and a corticosteroid to help reduce allergy symptoms and nasal inflammation. It must only be used when either an antihistamine nasal spray or a corticosteroid nasal spray has not provided relief.

How to Use

Read the package leaflet before use. Use only in the nose. Shake gently before use.

Adults aged 18 and over: One spray per nostril in the morning and evening.

The maximum daily dose should not exceed two sprays in each nostril.

Once opened, use within 6 months. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Discard 6 months after opening.

Caution

Do not use:

• If you are taking medicines for HIV.
• For more than 3 months continuously without consulting your doctor.
• If you are allergic to any ingredients in this medicine.

Consult your doctor before use if you are or may become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Consult your doctor if your symptoms have not improved or are not well controlled within 7 days.

Ingredients

Contains 137 micrograms of azelastine hydrochloride and 50 micrograms of fluticasone propionate per spray.
Also contains: Disodium edetate, glycerol, microcrystalline cellulose, carmellose sodium, polysorbate 80, benzalkonium chloride solution, phenylethyl alcohol, purified water.

Side Effects

1. Very common: Nosebleed.
2. Common: Headache, a bitter taste in your mouth (especially if you tilt your head backwards when using the spray), unpleasant smell.
3. Uncommon: Slight irritation of the inside of the nose (mild stinging, itching or sneezing), nasal dryness, cough, dry throat or throat irritation.
4. Rare: Dry mouth.
5. Very rare: Dizziness or drowsiness, cataract, glaucoma or increased pressure in the eye with possible loss of vision and/or red and painful eyes (reported following prolonged treatment with fluticasone propionate nasal sprays), damage of the skin and mucous membrane in the nose, feeling sick, weary, exhausted or weak, rash, itchy skin or red raised itchy bumps, bronchospasm.

Seek immediate medical help if you have swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat causing difficulty swallowing/breathing, and a sudden onset of skin rash.

Unknown frequency: Blurred vision, sores in the nose.

Systemic side effects may occur when used at high doses for a long time. Nasal corticosteroids can affect normal hormone production, and in rare cases, long-term use has been associated with reduced bone density (osteoporosis).
