CALCOUGH Children’s Syrup is a non-drowsy cough liquid that has been developed by specialists to help gently relieve dry, tickly coughs and sore throats. Suitable for children over 1 years old with a Blackcurrant flavour to make it more pleasant for your child to take.

What are the active ingredients in Calcough Childrens Syrup?

The active ingredients in Calcough Childrens Syrup is glycerin and liquid sugar.  Glycerin works as a lubricant to soothe a sore throat and reduce the effects of a cough. The Liquid sugar works in the same way, to help reduce a dry, tickly cough.

Active ingredients: Glycerin and Liquid Sugar

Other ingredients: Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E211), Anthocyanin, Blackcurrant flavour, Blackcurrant Juice, Liquid Glucose and Purified Water.

How do I give/take Calcough Children's Syrup?

Dosage:

Children 1-5 years:

ONE 5ml spoonful 3 to 4 times a day

Children over 5 years and Adults:

TWO 5ml spoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day

What are the side effects of Calcough Children's Syrup?

Calcough is unlikely to cause any side effects unless it is an allergic reaction. In that case, stop using the medicine and go to a GP.
