Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit: Things you need to know

Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit

What is the Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit?

Scholl Complete Corn Treatment Kit is designed to relieve painful or uncomfortable corns. It contains medicated discs with 40% w/w salicylic acid, which works by softening the hardened skin so it can be removed more easily. The disc system also helps shield the surrounding healthy skin from irritation. The cushioning then protects and minimises further pain in your feet. Scholl also offers an  Athlete's Foot Spray.

This kit contains:

  • 6 Salicylic Acid Discs
  • 6 Adhesive Pads
  • 9 Foam Cushions

The active ingredient is Salicylic Acid.

What are Corns and What Causes Them?

Corns are discs of hard skin that most commonly form on your feet. They can also appear on other parts of the body.

Corns form on your body when the skin is subjected to regular pressure or friction; for example, this can happen when your toes rub against the sides of your shoes.

Are Corns something to worry about?

Corns are harmless, and treatment is usually sought for the discomfort they cause.

How to get rid of Corns on Feet?

If you’re wondering how to get rid of corns on feet, consistent treatment and protection are key. Products like Dr Scholl’s corn removal kits use medicated discs with salicylic acid to gradually break down hardened skin, while cushioning pads help relieve pressure and prevent further irritation. For alternative treatments, you can also consider medicated gels such as Bazuka Gel or Salatac Gel.

How to use Scholl Corn Treatment Kit?

Step 1

  1. Soak the corn in warm water for 5 minutes before application. Clean and dry skin before use, ensuring the targeted area is free of creams and oils.
  2. Remove the release liner and avoid touching the adhesive side. Apply the salicylic acid disc centrally over the corn, and the adhesive pad to secure the disc in place.
  3. Leave in place until it starts to detach. After a maximum of 48 hours, remove the pad.
  4. Soak the affected area in warm water for 5 minutes before removing loosened skin. Repeat this procedure as necessary for up to 14 days.

Step 2

  1. Ensure feet are clean and dry.
  2. Peel off the cushion from the silicon paper card, remove the inner circular part and apply with hole directly over the corn or tender spot.
  3. Press to secure the cushion to the skin.

Always read the information provided on the box and/or leaflet.
