For the relief of dry eye.

What is Clinitas Eye Gel?

Clinitas eye gel is used for the relief of sensations of dry eye and other minor dry eye discomforts.

It is a lubricating and moisturising eye gel.

It can be used for up to 28 days after first opening.

How does Clinitas Eye Gel work?

Clinitas contains the active ingredient Carbomer which works as “artificial tears”, meaning that it hydrates your eyes by imitating your natural tears, lubricating and soothing the eyes when your normal tears aren’t enough.

You are more likely to have dry eyes if:

• You are over 50 years of age
• You wear contact lenses
• You spend a long time looking at a computer screen
• You drink alcohol
• You smoke
• You spend time in heated or air-conditioned environments

Other causes of dry eyes:

• Some medications
• Some medical conditions
• Certain weather conditions, e.g. dry, cold, windy, or dusty environments

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• When using contact lenses take special care. Contact lenses should be removed prior to applying treatment. Wait 30 minutes after the application before putting them back in.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to Carbomer or any of the other ingredients this medicine contains

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before using if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Active ingredient: Carbomer

How do I use Clinitas Eye Gel?

Dosage:

ONE drop in the affected eye/s TWO to FOUR times a day as necessary.

How to use:

• Wash your hands thoroughly.
• Use one hand to hold the bottle of Clinitas Carbomer Eye Gel, and use the other hand to gently pull down the lower lid of your eye.
• Squeeze the bottle gently to deposit one drop of eye gel into your eye, then blink a few times to disperse the drops all over your eye.
• Repeat in your other eye if necessary.

What are the side effects of Clinitas Eye Gel?

Possible side effects:

• The eyes may sting a little when the drops are first applied. These effects will usually wear off within a few minutes.
• Visual disturbance, blurred vision, and irritation with prolonged use may occur.

If you develop pain, swelling, or redness in or around the eyes, you should stop using Clinitas straight away and consult your GP or pharmacist.
