CALPOL Infant Suspension Sugar Free and Colour Free helps soothe and relieve pain and fever.

It starts to work on fever in just 15 minutes but is still gentle on delicate tummies.

The strawberry flavour suspension is free from sugar and colour.

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Read the package leaflet before use.
• Do not use it if the expiration date printed on the carton has passed.
• Do not give to a child under 2 months
• Do not give any other paracetamol-containing products.
• Do not give this product if you or your child are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other listed ingredients.
• Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if you or the child are taking any other medicines this also includes items, not on prescription.

Especially if taking any of the medicines stated below:

• Domperidone or metoclopramide, which is used to treat nausea and vomiting
• Colestyramine, which is used to treat high cholesterol
• Anticoagulants, or blood thinners, such as warfarin
• Anticonvulsants, which are used to treat epilepsy

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Paracetamol 120 mg per 5 ml.

Other ingredients: Maltitol liquid (E965), glycerol, polysorbate 80, sorbitol liquid (E420), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), dispersible cellulose, xanthan gum and purified water

How do I take CALPOL Infant Suspension Sugar Free and Colour Free?

Dosage:

Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use.

2-3 Months Old:

2.5ml up to FOUR times a day 

3-6 Months Old:

2.5ml up to FOUR times a day 

6-24 Months Old:

ONE 5ml spoonful up to FOUR times a day 

2-4 Years Old:

7.5ml up to FOUR times a day 

4-6 Years Old:

Two 5ml spoonfuls up to FOUR times a day

Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours, leave at least 4 hours between each dose, and do not use for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.

What are the side effects of CALPOL Infant Suspension Sugar Free and Colour Free?

Like all medications, Calpol Infant Suspension can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. 

• Allergic reactions, e.g. swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, difficulty swallowing, unexplained wheezing, and shortness of breath which may be accompanied by skin rash or hives
• Becoming unusually tired, unexpected bruising or bleeding, getting more infections (e.g. colds) than usual
• Very rare cases of skin reactions, showing symptoms such as skin reddening, blisters, rash

If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product, stop use and seek medical assistance straight away.
